16. Holders of an assistant fisher’s certificate or a fisher’s certificate must, during the 3rd year following the date their first certificate was issued, and every 3 years thereafter, update their knowledge and skills in advanced first aid at sea by successfully completing a continuing training course on the subject, offered by a body recognized by the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail under the authority of the Act respecting occupational health and safety (chapter S-2.1).
